Trankis (Kari/they/she/elle/ella) was born and raised in South East Los Angeles to working-class Mexican immigrants. They are a non-binary artist that focuses on illustration, photography and music curation. Their illustration work focuses on their personal experiences with queerness, nightlife, mental health, friendship and nostalgia. She is known for her distinct spunky characters and subculture character renditions. Additionally, Trankis is known for their DJ and flyer work with Chulita Vinyl Club Los Angeles chapter. They hosted a radio show called ?A Quien Le Importa? On KQBH and host a monthly party of the same name.
